DSS Plans To Re-arrest Emefiele – Lawyers Raise Alarm

Lawyers for suspended Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele have warned that the Department of State Services intends to re-arrest their client notwithstanding the bail granted by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

According to a reputable news source, Joseph Daudu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), revealed this shortly after the court meeting in Lagos.

According to media reports, Emefiele was given N20 million bail following his arraignment for alleged illegal possession of guns.

Despite the verdict, Daudu claims that the DSS is preparing to re-arrest Emefiele.

As of the time of writing this report, the suspended CBN governor was still in the courtroom with his attorneys.
