Drama As Suspended CBN Governor Dodges Camera In Court

 

 

 

Emefiele, who has been held by the Department of State Services (DSS) since his detention following President Bola Tinubu's suspension of him on June 9, mingled with his legal counsel in court.

Journalists were not permitted to openly photograph or film him when agents of the secret police took him before the court since the defendant was also being protected by the defence team.

News sources had reported how the Federal Government withdrew the illegal possession of firearms charge it filed against Emefiele and filed fresh charges.

One of the counts against Emefiele is “conferring unlawful advantages”. He was also accused  of engaging in conspiracy and procurement fraud, among others.
