A day of records as Barcelona move closer to the title.

It was a day of records all over the pitch as Barcelona ran out 4-0 winners over Real Betis at the Spotify Camp Nou to move a step closer to clinching their first league title since 2019.

Andreas Christensen opened not just his account for his new Barcelona team but on the night also as his header in the 14th minute put his side in front. Robert Lewandowski then went on to double the lead for the league leaders in the 36th with his 19th goal of the league campaign seeing him become only the first player (since after Samuel Eto’o) to score that many league goals in his first season at the club.

It didn’t take long for Raphinha to make it 3-0 in the 39thminute. Things became worse for the away side in the 82nd minute when Guido Rodriguez put the ball past his own net to make it 4-0.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen kept his 24th clean sheet of the league campaign to see him beat Claudio Bravo’s record for the most clean-sheets kept by a Barcelona goalkeeper in a single league season.

15-year old Lamine Yamal became the youngest player to debut for Barcelona in the 21st century as he was substituted into the match in the 83rd minute replacing Gavi.

Barcelona are still 11 points clear off second placed Real Madrid with just 6 games to go before the season ends.
