Following his trailblazing Performance at the World Cup, Nigerian superstar Davido has finally made a return online. The heavyweight musician lost his son last year on the 31st of October 2022 and went on a hiatus from all social gatherings since.
The loss of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke was a shocker to everyone and the whole internet could feel the pain from the loss of his first son Ifeanyi Adeleke.
This event made the vibrant musician stop posting on his social media pages and he stopped releasing songs for a while.It made people to start asking questions if his son Ifeanyi was actually dead or that was his way mourning the loss of his son. This is because he or his wife as at then girlfriend Chioma popularly known as Chef Chi did not post anything in regards to their son’s death.
Early March it was noticed that Davido started taking down a lot of pictures from his page on instagram and he started unfollowing a couple of people on Instagram. It sparked a lot of interests from fans leaving them confused if he is going through a restructural process in his life.
Following this episode two weeks after, on March 21st David Adeleke himself put out a post opening up to fans “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak and A time for Silence. Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down.â€
The singer then went ahead to thank his fans for all the love, messages, gifts and, the concerts they threw in his honor. Davido then broke the big news in an Instagram post of an upcoming album titled ‘Timeless’.
Afrobeat star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has finally dropped his much-awaited album, ‘Timeless.’
The music star took to his social media page in the early hours of Friday Marc 31st to announce the release of the 17-track project to his numerous fans.
‘OBO’ also talked about the process he went through from his previous album to the latest. Davido also gave ChiomaRowland, his wife, a shout-out while appreciating his fans and the people who ensured the completion of the project.
“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,†Davidowrote on Twitter.
He said he recalled sitting and staring over the ocean not too long ago, “wondering if I could get here again, after all I’ve been through… but with your love & support, we made it. “I’m not sure what comes after this but I wanted to give you my heart, soul and energy. Today I present you “TIMELESSâ€.
“So many people to thank who helped make this happen but first, I must send a special thank you to the strongest woman I know, @thechefchi!
“Thank you, thank you, thank you. And to all my supporters – I love you. Now, enjoy! I’ll see you all on road soon!†the music star added.
The album features exciting Nigerian and international artists such as Fave, Asake, and Cavemen, as well as British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, multi-Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, South African singer Musa Keys, and Jamaican Dancehall star Dexta Daps.
The release of his album ‘Timeless†has called for a lot of interviews on how he was able to reach this point of finally releasing his fourth album after all he has been through in the past year.
In an interview with Larry Madowo of African Voices on CNN, Davido talked about how he obviously went through a tragic situation but he had to be strong for everybody, not only his wife Chef Chi but also his family his wife family and his son that is watching them.
Because he knows at the end of the day people would want him to be on stage again. To make thousands of people happy like he normally does.
‘OBO’ finally concluded that he knows that he was born to make music after everything he has been through.
However, David did not mention why he did not talk about his son Ifeanyi on his new album.
