Chelsea 0-2 Aston Villa: Blues go solo as Villa party at the Bridge.

Aston Villa ran out 2-0 winners over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as goals from Ollie Watkins and John McGinn were enough to help Villa move within two points of sixth-place Brighton.

Ollie Watkins put the visitors ahead in the 18th minute as his cool composed lob over Kepa made him the first Villa player to score in five consecutive away league matches. Chelsea thought they had equalized when Chilwell’s header went into the Villa net but to their own frustration, the goal was disallowed for a foul as Chilwell pushed Ashley Young while heading the ball. John McGinn’s long range stunner in the 56th minute secured all three points for the visitors.

This result moves Chelsea to 11th place in the League table and fans couldn’t hide their disappointments as “You don’t know what you’re doing” chants were head being directed to Chelsea’s head coach Graham Potter.
