The Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory has commenced structural integrity test on the buildings under construction in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
This was revealed in a post shared on the agency’s Instagram account on Friday.
The test came about following the seven-storey building under construction that collapsed on Wednesday on 1st Avenue, Banana Island, Lagos State.
Although the reason for the building collapse has not yet been identified, the Lagos State agency thought it best to take an integrity test on all the structural building in the banana island area.
The agency wrote, “Important information. Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory commences immediate Non-Destructive (structural integrity) Test of the adjoining buildings at the Banana Island building collapse site.
