Buhari’s Inaction, Heavy Handedness Worsened Insecurity’ Says Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, the AAC's presidential candidate for the general election on February 25, has said that former President Muhammadu Buhari's passivity and haughtiness made the security issue in Kaduna, the Middle Belt, and the South East worse.

Sowore asserted in a message on his social media account on Saturday that Buhari didn't only pretend to be a sectional head; rather, he actually exercised that role.

He went on to claim that the former President made sure that his pledge to subdue Nigeria in the service of his archaic views was carried out fully.

He wrote, “In what ways did the policies of the Buhari regime aid the insecurity in the Kaduna and Middle Belt and South East?

“Buhari didn’t pretend that he’s a sectional head of Nigeria; he actively ruled like a sectional head. He ensured that his promise to conquer Nigeria in the interest of his primordial beliefs were undertaken to the fullest.

“His inaction in glaring cases of insecurity in Kaduna and the Middle Belt and his heavy handedness in the South East worsened the security crisis.”
