AY HAS NEVER BEEN MY FRIEND – BASKETMOUTH

Nigerian comedian, Bright Opkocha popularly known as Basket mouth, has revealed that he and his colleague, AY Makun, have never been friends and he has never had any close or personal relationship with him.

This comes after AY disclosed that his feud with Basketmouthstarted over a sum of N30,000 not paid to him and that Basketmouth often calls him to perform at events at the start of his career in the comedy industry.

Basketmouth revealed this during an interview he had with Nedu Wazobia on the ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast which was shared on social media on Monday.

He went on to say that they have never been friends and that’s the reason he wasn’t invited at his wedding.

He said,

“90 percent of all he said are lies, in fact I am still in shock and all my friends are laughing at me because they warned me to be careful of him.

“AY is not my friend and I didn’t invite him or his wife to my wedding. I have never visited him to my house and you will never find a picture of us standing together on social media”

Bright accused AY of being economical with the truth, saying he wasn’t paid the money in question. He also said it was Ali Baba who introduced them and would never have had any form of relationship with AY based on the privileged information he got, as he had very competent people around him to work with.

“Just to set the record straight, AY is not my friend, we have never been friends. I’ve never personally invited him to my house. I’ve never called him any day to hangout.
