Autogas Nigeria Is On A Mission To Alleviate Fuel Price Woes

Autolady Engineering Technology Limited, through its subsidiary Autogas Nigeria, has announced plans to train 1000 technicians and non-technicians across the country on converting petrol vehicles to gas-powered engines in order to mitigate the negative effects of the recent removal of fuel subsidies in Nigeria.

This measure is intended to provide a more economical option for motorists who are facing increased fuel costs.

The thorough training program aims to equip technicians with the knowledge and skills required for safe autogas conversion using compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG).

The effort also corresponds with the government's Autogas policy and its 2060 Net-zero carbon reduction plan, with the hope that gas-powered vehicles will considerably offset the effects of climate change by 2030.

The training project intends to minimize reliance on petrol/diesel vehicles and, as a result, overcome the issues posed by the National Gas Expansion Program (NGEP) by boosting the adoption of gas-powered vehicles.

Autogas conversion is regarded as a possible step in achieving the NGEP's goals and, as a result, supporting the government's climate change mitigation goals.

Recognizing the significant expense of conversion, Autolady Engineering Technology Limited requests collaboration and support from the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) for their training project.

Their goal is to reduce the cost of technician training and deliver affordable conversion kits to ordinary Nigerians, making autogas vehicles more accessible to the public.
