Asisat Oshoala fires Nigeria to the top of Group B after 3-2 win against Australia.

Nigeria forward, Asisat Oshoala made history as she became the first Super Falcons player to score in three consecutive world cups and celebrated in style by taking off her shirt after netting the Super Falcons' third goal in the game against Australia at the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Australia took the lead in stoppage time of the first half through Emily Van Egmond but Uchenna Kanu equalized just a few minutes later to ensure the first half ended levelled as both teams headed into the break with the scores even. Osinachi Ohale gave the famous green and white eagles the lead in the 65th minute but it was Osisat Oshoala who stole the show barely 9 minutes after her introduction to extend the lead further and secure victory for Nigeria.

Nigeria currently are joint top of Group B with Canada and would need only a point from their last group game to qualify to the next round. They face Ireland on the 31st of July at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane at 11 am Nigerian time.
