In a video shared on his page on Sunday evening, July 9, Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze expressed his disapproval of the rate at which people have been sliding in his DM to beg for money.
The actor said he is not happy at the amount of people begging him for money on his Instagram everyday.
He appealed to social media users to be concious of the fact that celebrities also have responsibilities as well and if he decides to share the money out like that, the money will finish and there would be nothing left.
The Nollywood actor also said that he can decide to pick two or three person and help them but he cannot possibly help everyone.
The actor Further expressed his disappointment when someone sent him a message asking for $35,000 while another person sent him a DM requesting for $12,000 which is summing up to 20 million naira.
The actor pointed out that the monetary requests do not only come from Nigerians and how fans not only beg him for money on Instagram but it has also extended to his email and he wonders how they got his email address.
He finally said no one should carry their begging behaviour to the new viral app called Threads and they should allow the app run smoothly.
