Brazil has imposed a ban on X, previously known as Twitter. A Supreme Court judge issued the order after the platform missed a deadline to appoint a new legal representative in the country. Alexandre de Moraes mandated the "immediate and complete suspension" of X until it fulfills all court requirements and pays any outstanding fines. The conflict began in April when the judge ordered the blocking of numerous X accounts for allegedly disseminating disinformation.
