Vigilante Group in Bauchi State Captures Two Infamous Kidnappers

A vigilante group known as "Yan Sakai" in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State has apprehended two notorious kidnappers causing distress in the region. The suspects, identified only as Yellow and Sallau, were presented to the Emir of Ningi, Alh Haruna Danyaya III, following their arrest.

The duo confessed to murdering one Hardo Bombi after demanding a ransom of N2 million and also admitted to killing Sarkin Lambu while collecting N7 million. In a video shared on the Emirate's Facebook page, Yellow and Sallau acknowledged their involvement in numerous kidnapping incidents in Ningi, claiming they had amassed up to N50 million in ransom from victims' families.

Yellow stated that they had executed three separate kidnappings in Dogon Ruwa, targeting prominent Fulani leaders. "We have received up to N50 million in ransom and have conducted three operations in Dogon Ruwa," he disclosed.

Usman Saleh Magayaki, Secretary of the Ningi Emirate Council, confirmed the arrests, noting that they followed an order from the late Emir, who directed local security operatives to support conventional forces in combating banditry and kidnappings in the area. Magayaki stated that the two suspects were linked to the abduction of key community leaders, including the village head of Bombi and the Ward Head of Lambu.
