Victor Osimhen Parts Ways with Agent After Failed Transfer from Napoli

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has officially parted ways with his agent, Roberto Calenda, amidst ongoing transfer negotiations, as reported by Il Mattino (via TMW). Frustrated with what he perceives as Calenda's incompetence, Osimhen sought to secure a permanent departure from the Serie A club.

Sources indicate that the Nigerian international even handled his potential loan move to Galatasaray without any agent's assistance. On deadline day, Osimhen was anticipated to leave Napoli, with both Al Ahli and Chelsea attempting to finalize deals, but ultimately, nothing materialized.

Calenda faced significant backlash on social media for his role in the failed negotiations. In the wake of this, Osimhen turned to Turkish intermediary George Gardi to facilitate discussions with Galatasaray.

The arrangement reached is a straightforward loan until the end of the season, including a break clause in January that would allow for negotiations with top European clubs, should opportunities arise. This move highlights Osimhen's determination to find the right path for his career following a tumultuous transfer window.
