From July 22 to October 15, nearly $1.5 billion has been spent on advertising for the upcoming U.S. presidential election, highlighting the intense competition between political parties.
Democrats have led the spending with approximately $921 million (N1.5 trillion), while Republicans have allocated around $569 million (N967.3 billion) for their advertising campaigns.
Looking ahead, an additional $351 million (N596.7 billion) is expected to be spent on ads from October 15 onwards, further escalating the financial stakes in the race.
These mind-blowing numbers underscore the increasing importance of advertising in shaping voter perceptions and influencing the outcome of the election.
