"Trump Claims Iran is Plotting His Assassination"

Donald Trump has asserted that the Iranian government is attempting to assassinate him, revealing that they have already made unsuccessful attempts and suggesting they will try again.

The former president and current Republican presidential candidate shared his concerns on his Truth Social platform, stating, “Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting.”

He elaborated, “Iran has made moves that didn’t succeed, but they will attempt it again. This is not a good situation for anyone involved.”

Following at least two known failed assassination attempts—one at his July rally in Butler, PA, and another at his golf course in Florida—Trump mentioned he is now “surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before.” Both incidents are reportedly connected to American citizens.

Trump’s campaign claims he has received briefings from U.S. intelligence agencies about “real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and create chaos in the United States.”

The tensions between Trump and Iran reportedly stem from the January 2020 drone strike that killed Qasem Soleimani, which Trump ordered while in office.
