A 50-year-old man named Emmanuel was tragically killed by a train in the Oshodi area of Lagos State. The incident occurred near Arena Shopping Mall on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Emmanuel's sister reported to the police that she received a call around 9 AM informing her of the fatal accident.
State Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday. He noted that the Mosafejo Division was informed around 1:33 PM and promptly sent a team of detectives to the scene.
Detectives documented the scene and the body was taken to a public morgue for an autopsy. Hundeyin also mentioned that the case has been handed over to the Railway Police Command in Ebute Metta for further investigation.
