TORY LANEZ BAGS 10 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR SHOOTING RAPPER MEGAN THE STALLION.

Tory Lanez, the individual found guilty of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, has received a 10-year prison sentence, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office. The verdict came in December of the previous year, when a Los Angeles jury convicted Lanez on three charges connected to the shooting incident that occurred in July 2020. The charges included assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying an unregistered loaded firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence. Megan Thee Stallion had accused Lanez of shooting her in the foot following an argument.

During a press conference after the sentencing, LA County District Attorney George Gascón explained how Lanez had attempted to silence Stallion after she accused him of the shooting, highlighting a pattern of conduct over the past three years that aimed to intimidate and silence her. Stallion's courage in sharing her experience with the jury and the world despite the adversity she faced was commended by Gascón.

Megan Thee Stallion's position as a prominent entertainer has brought attention to the serious issue of violence against women. Gascón expressed hope that her bravery would inspire others who endure similar situations to come forward and seek justice. Stallion's own testimony during the trial revealed the emotional toll of the incident, with her feeling vilified and mocked for her trauma.
