STONEBWOY ADDED A BRILLIANT MOVE TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY - SHOPSYDOO

 

Adesope Olajide, also known as Shopsydoo or Energy Gawd, was born on March 4, 1977, in Nigeria and currently resides in the UK. He is a podcaster, talk show host, radio and television personality, and event host. He serves as the host of the Afrobeat and pop culture podcast The Afrobeats. Furthermore, he is renowned for his in-depth familiarity with Nigerian music and entertainment, as well as his capacity to elicit an emotional response from his audience. Likewise, he has conducted interviews with numerous well-known musicians and celebrities and has received recognition for his work in the Nigerian media sector with numerous accolades. 

 

In an interview he recently did at Joy News, he discussed the influence of “Stonebwoy” in the music industry. Praising him for how he plans his yearly dance hall music event and inviting a Jamaican musician to participate alongside him is a master stroke in the longevity of music not only in his homeland but going above and beyond, It is a brilliant move. 

 

Stonebwoy is a Ghanaian artist and the CEO of Burniton music group and performs dancehall and reggae music. He was born on the 5th of March, 1988, in Ashaiman, a neighbourhood of Accra, Ghana, as Livingstone Etse Satekla. He started his musical career in 2009, and in 2012, he released his “Grade 1 Album” debut. Since then, he has released several further albums and singles, such as “Necessary Evil,” “Epistles of Mama,” and “Anloga Junction.” He frequently sings in both English and his native Ewe, and his musical style is a fusion of reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeat. 

 

Stonebwoy has received numerous honours for his music, including the Best Dancehall Artiste at the All Africa Music Awards in 2018 and the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artist of the Year in 2015 and 2019. He is also well renowned for his charitable endeavours, especially those carried out through the Livingstone Foundation.
