South Africa's Vice President Paul Mashatile Collapses at Public Event but Is Reported Stable


South Africa's Vice President Paul Mashatile collapsed during a public event in Limpopo on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred while he was speaking at a gathering in Tzaneen to celebrate the inauguration of a local traditional leader.

According to the Limpopo provincial government, Mashatile struggled with the heat during his address but is now reported to be in stable condition. Premier Phophi Ramathuba, a medical doctor, confirmed that Mashatile is not in any danger and is receiving care from his medical team.

Ramathuba, who was present during the incident, reassured the public, stating, "The deputy president is fine; he is with his medical team. I was with them, he's okay, and there's no need to worry." Mashatile collapsed due to the extreme heat while delivering his speech but received prompt medical attention and is currently on the road to recovery
