Shelter-in-Place Directive Issued for Over 90,000 Residents Following Chemical Plant Fire in Georgia


More than 90,000 individuals in Georgia have been instructed to remain indoors after a significant fire at a chemical facility produced a towering cloud of smoke visible from several miles away.

Approximately 17,000 people have been evacuated from the vicinity, while many others have been advised to stay home, seal their windows and doors, and turn off air conditioning systems due to poor air quality resulting from the blaze at the BioLab plant in Conyers, Georgia, which occurred on Sunday
