Fast forward to today, and Instagram has become a vital part of Meta Platforms, contributing over $250 billion in revenue. The platform's ability to surpass even YouTube in advertising revenue highlights the success of Zuckerberg's strategy. In 2021 alone, Instagram generated $32.4 billion, accounting for nearly 30% of Meta's total revenue.
