Rare Comet C/2023 A3 Appears in Earth's Skies for the First Time in 80,000 Year

A unique celestial event is taking place this week as Comet C/2023 A3 passes by Earth for the first time in 80,000 years.

This comet, believed to have last approached our planet during the Stone Age, reached its closest point to the sun last month and is now becoming visible as it nears Earth.

Astronomers predict it may be observable with the naked eye, particularly on October 9 and around October 13, with the best viewing times just before dawn and after sunset.

While its brightness is still uncertain, stargazers are encouraged to look up to catch a glimpse of this cosmic visitor.
