A 64-year-old woman named Arom was washing dishes at her home on the outskirts of Bangkok when she suddenly felt bites on her leg. In a police video released by CNN, she described how the snake lunged at her and bit her.
The python wrapped itself around her, and she fought to escape its tightening grip for two hours, but was unable to free herself. Despite her cries for help, no one responded at first. Eventually, a neighbor heard her distress and called the police.
Police Major Sergeant Anusorn Wongmalee from the Phra Samut Chedi Police Station recounted the shocking scene: “We were astonished to see the woman on the floor with the large python coiled around her.”
