President Bola Tinubu has praised the military for successfully eliminating Halilu Sububu, a wanted bandit leader responsible for terrorizing residents in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other areas of Northwest Nigeria. In a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President noted that Sububu's death, along with that of other terrorists, demonstrates the Nigerian military's capability to secure the nation.
"The success of these operations reinforces our confidence that our security forces are committed to ensuring peace and safety," Onanuga stated. He explained that these successful missions followed the President's directive for service chiefs to be present in the region until order is restored.
