President Tinubu Appoints Seven New Executive Directors for Nigerian Television Authority

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of seven new executive directors to lead the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as part of his initiative to revitalize the nation's broadcast industry.

The announcement was made on Friday, September 27, by Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

Among those appointed, Ayo Adewuyi has been reappointed as Executive Director of News, while Bar. Ibrahim Aliyu will take charge of Special Duties as Executive Director. The new executive directors also include Malam Muhammed Fatuhu Mustapha, who will serve as Executive Director of Administration and Training, and Mrs. Apinke Effiong, who has been named Executive Director of Finance.

Additionally, Mrs. Tari Taylaur will assume the role of Executive Director of Programs; Mr. Sadique Musa Omeiza will be Executive Director of Engineering; and Mrs. Oluwakemi Fashina is appointed Executive Director of Marketing.

Mrs. Effiong brings extensive experience in financial marketing, treasury management, accounting, and reporting. Mrs. Taylaur is recognized for her achievements as an audio/visual creator, producer, and showrunner, while Mrs. Fashina is a seasoned professional in integrated marketing communications and a chartered marketer.

These appointments are expected to bring new ideas and expertise to the NTA, promoting growth and development in Nigeria’s broadcast sector. The statement confirmed that the appointments take effect immediately
