PORTABLE RELEASED FROM PRISON AFTER MEETING BAIL CONDITIONS

Controversial Singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable AKA Zazoo has been released from Ilaro prison in Ogun State, where he was earlier remanded pending the perfection of his bail conditions.

It was reported that Portable who was accused of resisting arrest and allegedly injuring an officer, landed in Ogun State police custody on Friday, March 31st after the expiration of the 72-hour ultimatum given to him by the police, and was subsequently arraigned on court on Monday April 3rd.

 It was also reported that he has been detained since Friday following a petition written by one Osimusi Emmanuel.

A High Court in Ifo, Ogun State, however, granted the singer bail. Portable was granted bail in the sum of N300,000 and to provide two sureties with landed properties within the court jurisdiction. 

The court however ruled that the defendant be transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Centre, pending the time his bail requirements were met.

Portable left the Nigerian Correctional Service facility for Ilaro, Ogun State South West Nigeria on Monday evening. Adodo Destiny, Portable’s counsel confirmed his release.
