Police Report That Uber Driver Admitted to Rape and Murder of Indianapolis Woman

In a recent case, police revealed that an Uber driver, Francisco Valadez, 29, was arrested in connection with the death of 30-year-old Chanti Dixon. Valadez allegedly confessed to raping, shooting, and killing her after picking her up from work on the morning of September 8. He was taken into custody on September 10 by Indianapolis homicide detectives and faces preliminary murder charges.

According to reports, Valadez claimed he shot Dixon in a fit of rage following an attempted rape in his vehicle. He also reportedly admitted to disposing of her body in an alley near her home after trying to assault her again post-mortem.

"This is just disgusting all around, and it did not have to happen," stated Indianapolis Metro Police Chief Chris Bailey.
