At the 'Puffy's Fourth of July' party in July 2000, notable attendees included Jennifer Lopez, Kimora Lee Simmons, Russell Simmons, Damon Dash, Aaliyah, Sarah Jessica Parker, and others.
Diddy’s then-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, and actor Leonardo DiCaprio were also present at this event.

On September 16, Diddy was arrested at a New York City hotel after being indicted by a grand jury. Following his arrest, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed that Diddy was taken into custody based on a sealed indictment, which later revealed charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution
