Oscars Venue Sold to Jebs Hollywood Entertainment Group

The venue that hosts Hollywood’s prestigious Oscars ceremony has been acquired by Jebs Hollywood Entertainment, an investment group featuring notable figures such as Battlefield Earth producer Elie Samaha, former Sony Pictures Entertainment president Jeff Sagansky, and a member of the UAE ruling family.

The purchase also includes two surface parking lots totaling 1.45 acres, which are significant in the Los Angeles area.

Jebs is led by Samaha, who is a longtime producer and owner-operator of the Yamashiro restaurant. He also heads the team managing the TCL Chinese Theater and Chinese Six, located adjacent to the Dolby Theatre. Other key members of the group include Sherwin Jarol, CEO of SMB Equities; Sagansky; Jonah Lazowski of Two Girls Holdings; and Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, who represents the ruling Al Qasimi family of the UAE through his investment firm, Master Investment Group.

In addition to his new acquisition, Samaha owns the Vogue and Fox Theatres in Los Angeles and the Liberty Theatre in New York.
