Gurgun Daji was reportedly eliminated by a rival faction on Sunday, with his body left at the scene.
According to Zagazola Makama, Ibrahim Gurgun Daji was infamous for his criminal activities, including orchestrating violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and nearby areas.
His main base was in Shangel village, located east of Mada town, where he was also known for buying kidnapped victims, further solidifying his influence in the region's criminal network.
In addition to his involvement in attacks, he was said to have sheltered other criminals, including Bello Taggoje, in his Shangel village home. Gurgun Daji reportedly commanded a large group of followers engaged in various acts of banditry and terror throughout the area.
The death of Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Daji represents a significant advancement in the battle against banditry in Zamfara State, as he was considered a major player in the region's network of armed criminals.
