Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully apprehended a female firearms courier, Mrs. Fidausu Hassan, along with her accomplice at a motor park in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a statement released over the weekend, the Army reported that the operation, conducted on October 17, 2024, resulted in the recovery of 505 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition from the suspects. The operation was carried out in collaboration with other security agencies, following intelligence that identified a gun-running syndicate smuggling arms from Plateau State to terrorists in Zamfara State.
The statement detailed that Mrs. Fidausu Hassan and her accomplice, Mr. Sani Isah Musa, were arrested at the Barkin Ladi Motor Park after being trailed by the troops
