The Federal Government, through the Nigeria Customs Service, has announced a one-month extension for the verification process aimed at recovering import duties on illegally imported private aircraft. The new deadline is now set for Monday, October 14, to Thursday, November 14, 2024.
In a statement from Customs Spokesperson Abdullahi Maiwada, it was noted, “The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) wishes to inform the public, especially operators of privately-owned aircraft, that the verification exercise for recovering import duties on illegally imported private aircraft has been extended by one month, from Monday, October 14, 2024, to Thursday, November 14, 2024.
