Lagos Police Investigate Officers Accused of Harassing Corps Members
Lagos State Police Command PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, has announced that police officers filmed harassing corps members in Surulere are currently being interrogated.
He shared this information on X in response to a video showing uniformed officers in a heated confrontation with corps members. The user who posted the video also claimed that the officers extorted 1 million Naira from the corps members.
In his response, Hundeyin stated on X: "These officers are from Area C, Surulere. The Area Commander has been informed.
"We have identified the officers, and they are undergoing interrogation.
"However, we require more than just verbal allegations. Please provide additional details. The spy camera may have recorded any exchange of money, whether in cash or via transfer. We need concrete evidence to proceed. Updates on the ongoing interrogation will be shared."
