Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has conducted an inspection of the newly constructed Massey Children Hospital. This seven-story facility is designed as a pediatric and emergency general hospital and is set to become the largest children's hospital in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The groundbreaking and launch of this legacy project took place on April 28, 2021. To date, the ten-floor parking garage has been completed, and one additional floor remains to be added to the hospital, which will also feature a helipad.
Governor Sanwo-Olu stated that this project fulfills a commitment and assured Lagos residents that it will be completed, while also emphasizing that the regeneration of Lagos Island will continue.
