Lagos Computer Village Traders Serve Cease and Desist to Folashade Tinubu-Ojo Over Levy Imposition

Traders in the Computer Village, Ikeja, have issued a cease and desist notice to Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General of Lagos, regarding her alleged imposition of levies on the market. The Incorporated Trustees of Computer Village Market Traders and Stakeholders Joint Management, which represents various market associations, formally served the notice through Falana and Falana’s Chambers.

Dated August 28, 2024, the legal document outlines several grievances against Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo, who is the daughter of President Bola Tinubu. The traders accuse her of unlawfully collecting fees and disrupting market operations with the assistance of thugs.

This action reflects the traders' frustration over the alleged exploitation and their determination to protect their rights and livelihoods within the bustling Computer Village. The situation highlights ongoing tensions surrounding market governance and the enforcement of regulations in Lagos.
