Kamala Harris Introduces Economic Plan to Support Middle-Class Americans

Vice President Kamala Harris has presented an economic strategy aimed at reducing taxes for middle-class Americans, funded by increasing taxes on the wealthiest individuals, effectively reversing the tax cuts implemented during Donald Trump's presidency. In her speech at the Economic Club of Pittsburgh, Harris outlined her vision for an "opportunity economy" intended to empower the middle class. She also released an 82-page policy document titled A New Way Forward for the Middle Class.

Key initiatives include a minimum income tax for billionaires and modifications to corporate tax rates to ensure that large corporations contribute their fair share. Harris's approach seeks to combat economic inequality and respond to voter concerns as she intensifies her campaign for the upcoming November elections.
