A lawyer representing Jay-Z stated that a "legal ultimatum" was necessary for talk show host Piers Morgan, leading him to edit an interview featuring a guest who alleged that the hip-hop star and his wife, Beyoncé, were involved in potentially criminal activities related to the accusations against Sean "Diddy" Combs.
“Piers Morgan’s reckless broadcast, filled with falsehoods, crossed a serious line, making a legal ultimatum essential,” said Jordan Siev, one of Jay-Z’s attorneys, on Friday. “No one posing as a journalist can make outrageous claims from exploitative scenarios for the sake of clicks without facing consequences.
