James Earl Jones, Legendary Actor, Dies at 93

A Sharia court in the Rijiyar Lemu area of Dala LGA, Kano State, has remanded Amina Nura for allegedly attempting to kill a housewife, Rashida Kamal, whom she accused of blocking her husband's proposal to marry her. Nura was remanded along with four accomplices: Nusaiba Abdullahi, Maryam Nura, Fatima Rabiu, and Maryam Sa'idu. The court heard that Rashida's husband, Alhaji Kamal, had been dating the primary defendant and had proposed to her but later ended the relationship. Nura claimed this decision was influenced by Rashida, prompting her to take action against her. Amina and her accomplices reportedly went to Rashida's home armed with weapons and a poisonous substance, where they assaulted her. The defendants' counsel, Barrister Yusuf Kabir, requested bail for them. However, Khadi Umar Usman Danbaba Dukurawa ordered their remand in prison and scheduled the next hearing for October 18, 2024.
