Israel Adesanya Congratulates Mohamed Salah for Using His Celebration

Israel Adesanya has expressed his admiration for Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool star incorporated his signature celebration during a recent Premier League victory.

Salah shone in Liverpool's impressive 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, scoring a goal and providing two assists. Following his goal, Salah celebrated with an archer's gesture, a nod to Adesanya's iconic style.

In his post-match interview, Salah shared that he drew inspiration from the former UFC champion. He explained, “I was watching the UFC—Alex Pereira against Israel Adesanya. When Adesanya won their second fight, he celebrated that way because Pereira had beaten him in the first match. I like the celebration, which is why I did it. I’m a UFC fan.”

Salah also noted the cultural significance of the gesture in Egypt, stating that it resembles how ancient pharaohs depicted themselves in temple art and on pyramids. This connection adds a rich layer to his celebration, blending modern sports with historical heritage.
