Following a warning about a significant increase in attacks on Gmail users, Google is preparing to enforce stricter security measures for Google Workspace users. Beginning September 30, access to Gmail from "less secure apps, third-party applications, or devices that only require a username and password" will be discontinued.
This initiative aims to eliminate what Google describes as an "outdated sign-in method," which exposes Gmail users to higher risks of unauthorized access by requiring the sharing of credentials with third-party services.
Google has stated that this change will affect all Google Workspace customers
