Gombe State Governor, Yahaya emerges chairman, Northern Governors in the just concluded election of the forum.
The Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has emerged the new chairman of the Northern Governors Forum (NGF) to take over from Lalong of Plateau State.
He succeeded the outgoing governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, as chairman of NGF.
Simon Lalong held the position for over three years and has just completed his term of office as such needs to relinquish power to another.
However, Yahaya, who was elected governor in 2019, won his re-election bid to govern Gombe State for a second term in the 2023 general election
