Ghana Lacks Suitable Stadiums for International Matches After CAF Revokes Baba Yara Approval

Ghana currently has no stadium that meets international standards for hosting matches, as CAF has withdrawn its approval for Baba Yara Sports Stadium. This situation poses a significant embarrassment for the country, which may have to play its home games overseas, particularly with a 2025 AFCON qualifier against Sudan set for early October.

The poor condition of Baba Yara Stadium was highlighted after the Black Stars' AFCON qualifier against Angola last Thursday.
