On Thursday, First Lady and Senator Oluremi Tinubu reflected on the beautiful landscapes of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, recalling her student days there.
She expressed concern about the significant decline in the campus's greenery over the years and called for immediate efforts to restore the environment to enhance the beauty of the academic community.
During the opening ceremony for the 2.7km Senator Oluremi Tinubu Way, along with a new pavilion and monument at OAU, she acknowledged the generous contributions made by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in honor of the President's wife. While praising the initiatives named after her by the royal father, the First Lady expressed her gratitude, noting that this event is part of the celebrations for Oba Ogunwusi's 50th birthday anniversary.
