Defence Minister Bello Matawalle and Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa Arrive in Sokoto to Tackle Banditry

 

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, alongside Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, has arrived in Sokoto State to oversee military operations against banditry. Their visit follows a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at strengthening efforts to combat the rising insecurity in the region.

The officials landed in Sokoto, September 3, and are set to coordinate strategies with local military units and law enforcement agencies. Their mission focuses on enhancing security measures and implementing effective tactics to address the challenges posed by bandit groups in the area.
