Nigeria Women Basketball team, D’Tigress are Continental Champions after their victory against Senegal in the final of the Afrobasket Championship.
D’Tigress continued their dominance in the continental championship with an 84-74 final victory over Senegal to ensure their fourth consecutive Afrobasket women championship title.
The champions won the first two quarters 19-10 and 24-21 and headed into the break with much confidence but didn’t panic as they lost the third quarter 19-26 and recovered well enough with a 22-17 fourth quarter win to seal victory and take home the trophy. The Nigerian women’s basketball team continue stretch their unbeaten run further to 24 games and currently boast as the flawless champions of African women basketball.
