Corporate Experts Urge Companies in Nigeria to Embrace Sustainability and Good Governance

Experts in the corporate sector have emphasized that businesses operating in Nigeria must prioritize sustainability and good governance as essential components of their survival strategies.

These insights were shared at the recent Annual Corporate Governance Conference (ACGC) organized by the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) in Lagos, with the theme "Corporate Survival and Sustainability: The New Face of Governance."

During the event, Bola Adesola, chairperson of the board of Ecobank Nigeria Limited, remarked that corporate sustainability has evolved from being an option to becoming a necessity in today's world.

“Long-term survival demands that governance frameworks embed sustainability as an integral element,” Adesola said.
