Chelsea's £51m Duo Palmer and Nkunku Face Competition Amid Transfer Strategy Revealed

Chelsea has a surplus of attacking talent, with manager Enzo Maresca having utilized nine different players in the Premier League's frontline, not including Jadon Sancho.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who played in advanced roles for Leicester City under Maresca last season, has mainly been used as a No. 8 at Chelsea. Enzo Fernandez is also part of this group, having played as a No. 10 in the opening match against Manchester City.

Cesare Casadei, along with academy prospect Tyrique George, is looking to earn playing time, likely in the Conference League. However, Maresca can typically field only a maximum of four attackers: one striker, primarily Nicolas Jackson, and possibly Marc Guiu for midweek European matches, alongside wingers. A decision must also be made on whether to include a No. 10 or have one of the No. 8s support the attack.

In the recent match against Wolves, Cole Palmer stepped in for the absent Romeo Lavia, playing a hybrid role focused on linking play and advancing the ball. While he spent most of last season on the right wing, he only began to play centrally toward the end of the season due to injuries to teammates.
