The Cassowary: The Most Dangerous Bird in the World

The cassowary is often considered the most dangerous bird globally, particularly because of its ability to cause severe injuries to humans. This large, flightless bird can stand up to 6 feet tall and weigh approximately 200 pounds.

One of its most formidable features is its dagger-like claw, which can grow up to 5 inches long. When threatened, the cassowary is capable of delivering powerful kicks that can be fatal. While attacks on humans are infrequent, they can happen if the bird feels cornered or provoked. A notable incident in 2019 even resulted in a fatality.

Other birds known for their danger include ostriches, which can also inflict serious harm, and the toxic pitohui, which poses risks due to its poisonous feathers.
