Blessing Okoro, Known as Blessing CEO, Opens Up About Her Time in Prison

Blessing Okoro, famously known as Blessing CEO, has recounted her experiences during her time in prison.

In March 2023, Blessing was incarcerated for alleged cyberbullying related to the case of Lagos celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, known as IVD, and his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. She regained her freedom in April 2023.

In a recent interview with DaddyFreeze, Blessing detailed her prison experience.

She described her first day as traumatic, noting that upon arrival, her phone, wig, and other personal items were confiscated. She recounted being searched thoroughly and was placed in a room infested with bed bugs, where she spent her first night with two other women. By the second day, she was moved to a cell where she met other inmates and likened prison life to a boarding house, emphasizing that one could make it as comfortable as they wished.

Blessing mentioned that inmates have access to basic food and can also buy meals from restaurants within the prison. Additionally, the facility had a phone booth for inmates to contact their loved ones.

Regarding how she managed to post a photo while still incarcerated, Blessing explained, “Phones are contraband in prison, but some people find ways to sneak them in. After two days, I asked a warden for my phone to make a transfer. Once I finished, I posted a photo on Instagram, not realizing it would cause a stir. I wrote, ‘One man mopol, no shaking.’

Later that night, around 1 AM, seven wardens came to search our cell, believing I had a phone. They didn’t know I had only posted and returned the phone
